My Shack Born in 1955 I studied Physics at the Johann - Wolfgang - Goethe University in Frankfurt/M. From 1983 to the end of 1985 I worked at the Joint Research Centre of the European Community in Ispra/Italy. From 1986 to 2017 I worked in a research and development department on environmental engineering tests and evaluations. Since 2018 I am retired.


My hobby is amateur radio. I got my first license in 1975 (DB1ZL). In 1977 I passed the cw exames and received the call DF1ZN.

Antenna rotor: hy-gain HAM IV plus ARSWIN PC rotor interface
Transceiver UHF/VHF: Alinco DR570E and Kenwood TM255E
UHF/VHF antenna: X500 duoband GP
Modem: microHAM USB Interface III for Digi Modes
Computer: DELL Notebook Inspiron 1750, 2.1 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Windows7 (64 Bit)
